My name is Marc Laithwaite and I’m the ABC Cycle captain, responsible for road racing and time trials. We currently have a number of members who compete regularly in road racing events and a large percentage who time trial regularly.

The club targets time trials of all distances from 10 to 100 miles and some of our members compete in 12 and 24 hour events.

We ride a training club 10 mile time trial style event every Thursday evening throughout the summer using the Bickerstaff course as a training circuit.

During the winter there is a regular Sunday ride, but this tends to be less frequent in summer due to racing events.  In addition there is also a winter chain gang session around the Pimbo Industrial estate - a very testing session, but caters for all abilities.
